'Topping off' ceremony at Farnborough Court

A significant milestone has been reached in the construction of Farnborough Court, a remarkable development designed by our Architects at Pelham for Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA). Located in Clifton, this project will provide 50 affordable new homes specifically tailored for individuals aged 55 and over.

The recent 'topping out' ceremony marked the completion of the building's structure. With the roof now in place, the structure is watertight and ready for the next phase of construction to begin.

We were honoured to join NCHA, Nottingham City Councillor Jay Hayes (Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning), and GEDA Construction in celebrating this achievement.

Farnborough Court is part of a larger regeneration project that has been underway since June 2022. The former site of South Nottingham College on Farnborough Road has been transformed to include NCHA's new workplace, 14 supported living flats, six bungalows, and sporting facilities.

These affordable rent properties are designed to deliver high-quality and energy-efficient homes for senior residents. They will offer a secure and comfortable living environment for individuals aged 55 and above.

Upon its completion in December 2024, Farnborough Court will significantly contribute to addressing the need for newly built housing for older people in the area.

This project showcases our expertise in designing mixed-use developments and providing accessible and affordable housing solutions that meet the needs of the local community.
