Planning permission for new homes in Claycross
We’ve received planning permission to build affordable homes on Market Street in Clay Cross, Derbyshire.
Andy Meek, Senior Architect at Pelham, comments: “Pelham Architects and NCHA are delighted to have received planning permission for 11 affordable homes close to the centre of Clay Cross. Formerly a brownfield site which has stood empty for 50 years.
Funding from North East Derbyshire District Council has ensured that the housing meets an enhanced EPC A rating. The homes have been designed to be all electric with a fabric first approach and include solar PV panels. Homes England has also grant funded the scheme.
The development will be in keeping with the local built environment, building on the positive characteristics of the area to provide a responsive and sustainable residential scheme. All 11 homes will be affordable rent homes which will be managed by NCHA.
There will be a combination of two bungalows and nine two bed homes.
Our project management and development teams are working together with Modus Partnerships to deliver these energy efficient homes.
We expect the new homes to be completed in 2024.
