First homes completed at Beckhampton Road

It was wonderful to join Nottingham City Council at the official opening of phase one at the Beckhampton Road development in Nottingham.

We've been working with Lovell Homes on the design of 129 council homes in Bestwood as part of the Building a Better Nottingham project.

Simon Henderson, Senior Architect said, “The project is a result of a continuing highly successful collaboration between ourselves and Nottingham City Council and the first of several with Lovell’s who are building the scheme.

"We are excited to see the first residents moving in, on what will be a cohesively designed development incorporating community gardens and large open spaces for the residents to enjoy.”

This was a fantastic opportunity to take a look inside completed new homes which will go to people on the council's housing waiting list.

These homes are designed to be energy efficient and include solar panels to help reduce running costs. The development is due to be fully complete by September 2024.
