Daleside Road transformation complete
We are delighted that the development on the former Virgin Media offices on Daleside Road, Nottingham, is complete. Thanks to our professional team and all our partners the site has been given a new lease of life and transformed into a thriving community of 82 affordable homes.
The development was officially opened by our client Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA). Together we have transformed a disused brownfield site into a bustling community of much-needed affordable housing close to the city centre.
The thoughtfully-designed scheme offers a range of homes, including one-bedroom flats and two and three-bedroom houses. This variety, combined with the shared ownership scheme, has enabled local residents to take their first steps onto the property ladder. The homes have proven immensely popular, with all but the final few apartments already occupied.
Beyond its affordability, the development sets a strong standard for environmentally sustainable living. Built by GEDA Construction and designed by our Architects, the homes boast an impressive energy rating of 'B', minimising energy consumption and carbon emissions. The energy efficient houses are constructed of a timber frame and all homes benefit from high levels of insulation and 100% low energy lighting.
Mike Price, Head Architect expressed his satisfaction with the project. “We are proud of this recent project, a testament to the power of collaborative design. Working hand-in-hand with Nottingham City Planners and our construction partners, Geda, we have transformed a neglected brownfield site into a vibrant space where community can flourish. This project shows our commitment to creating environments that not only meet the needs of residents but actively foster a sense of belonging and growth.
“We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with Nottingham City Council and look forward to continuing our journey together. We are eager to contribute our expertise and collaborative spirit to future projects that will benefit the people of Nottingham, revitalising neglected spaces and building a brighter future for the city.”
